The topics covered in this class are the fundamentals of the GEMS Election Management System (EMS) and is recommended for all new election officials. Subjects covered include:

• What functions the EMS serves
• Reviews the Ballot Building process
• Describes the importance of proofing ballots, and common errors
• Determine the quantity of equipment to send to voting locations
• Determine how many OS ballots to order
• Discuss test performed on an EMS in GA throughout its life cycle
• Suggested prerequisite for GEMS 102
